So Cleo’s week with us is coming to an end- he’s off to spend a week with the manufacturer seeing his designs become a retail reality! We cannot wait to see these fantastic creations come to life and wish him only the most wonderful, shiny and great things for his future!! Read on for Cleo’s experience at Mr P HQ…
“What an amazing week this has been! Walking into the Mr P Head Office I was warmly welcomed by the Trend & Design departments & they really made me feel at home with a bouquet of beautiful blossoms and a huge jar of treats- Not to mention all the latest magazines! We immediately got started on my collection, discussing prints, styles and fabrications. Whilst working on my collection I was privledged enough to spend some time in each department to understand what it is they do and how they function as cogs in the large machine that is Mr Price. This really opened my eyes to how much work is going on behind the scenes in the fast paced world that is retail. Learning about the retail process has been an invaluable experience, one which I’m sure will positively affect the way I approach both the ‘business’ and creative aspects of fashion!

A: Believe in your partner. It’s one of the most amazing feelings to be in a relationship with someone who supports your creative endeavors completely.
M: Be honest with each other from the beginning. And the usual couple thing. Don’t go to bed angry.
